Junior Designer

About DL INTERIORS LLC is a boutique residential interior design studio that delivers turnkey design services to individuals and families in the DMV.

Client service is also a top priority and is achieved through great communication and organization. DL INTERIORS LLC is seeking a full-time interior designer to join our small team.

Top candidates will be considered for a leadership role that will help the company grow and be eligible for additional benefits. We want to meet you because… You are self-motivated, curious, and creative.

You possess the ability to drive yourself and others toward meaningful results. You have a passion for delivering exceptional client service. You are an incredible communicator - verbally and visually.

You revere deadlines, details, and deliverables. You are trustworthy and can be counted on to safeguard the confidentiality of our business and our clients. You aren’t afraid of hard conversations.

When required, you know how to have constructive conversations even when they are difficult. Bonus if… You are excited to grow into a leadership role and learning to manage a project start-to-finish.

You would love to be a key player in the growth of a small business and are interested in having full focus on this role.

What You Can Expect

• We are dynamic - The work is fun, fresh, and ever-changing. You will be helping with a mix of projects and supporting the role of the Principal Interior Designer.

• We are small - We run a lean business out of a maxi-home office. It is on-site but separate from the main home structure. Of course, you can always access the kitchen and enjoy a proper lunch break away from your desk.

• We are nimble - Because we are a small operation, you will get to experience all aspects of running a design project. You will not get stuck just doing drawings. (Also, this allows us to be picky about who we work with. We enjoy working with clients who are eager, fun, creative, trusting, and easy-going.)

• We are professional - Our office is casual, but we do expect professionalism, punctuality, and accountability to each other and our clients.

• We are inclusive - We celebrate people from all walks of life regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or faith. There is no place for discrimination of any kind here.

• We are flexible - While the majority of your time will be spent in office or on-site with clients, occasional remote work will be available once you are established and running on your own.

• We enjoy good food & drinks - We keep essentials like coffee, tea, cold beverages, and tasty snacks, at the ready. We indulge in occasional lunch meetings & happy hours too.

• We are imperfect - We always strive for greatness but we view mistakes as opportunities to grow and be better.

• We are honest - We acknowledge when we fall short and encourage an environment of honest conversations.

• We revere home - We recognize the deeply personal relationship with our clients and their homes. And with that, the enormous responsibility of being entrusted with their most personal investment.
